Poppy's feet were photographed through a very thin layer of soft latex that Anne’s prop maker Dawn spent weeks perfecting. The art of creating these very thin sheets of latex took time, in mixing, spreading thinly onto a flat surface and allowing to cure overnight.

To achieve one perfect sheet without any bubbles or trapped dust, a dozen or so that didn’t quite work out would be discarded and the whole process would begin again. Eventually, we had enough sheets to do the shoot.
Anne’s studio assistant Natalie stood behind the latex sheet that had been stretched across a wooden frame, and held the sleeping baby who was partly wrapped in soft polar fleece fabric, that had been dyed a similar tone to the latex.

Poppy's Feet is the first of Anne's smaller sized Limited Edition Prints to be made available. It has been printed in this way to suit the delicate nature of the image.
